NOTICE FOR PUBLIC CONSULTATION FOR A MINING PERMIT APPLICATION AND ENVIRONMENTAL AUTHORISATION ON A CERTAIN PORTION OF THE FARM ANNANDALE 407 KQ IN THE MAGISTERIAL DISTRICT OF WATERBERG IN THE THABAZIMBI LOCAL MUNICIPALITY IN THE LIMPOPO PROVINCE.
DMPR REFERENCE NUMBER: LP30/5/1/3/2/13717MP Notice is given in terms of Section 27 of the Mineral and Petroleum Resources Development Act, 2002 (Act No.28 of 2002), reads together with Regulations 39 - 44 of the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations 2014 (published under Government Notice R.982 of 08 December 2014, promulgated in terms of Section 24(5) of the National Environmental Management Act, 1998 (Act No. 107 of 1998) as amended, that MRS Mining and Supply (Pty) Ltd has applied for a Mining Permit application for Platinum Group Metals and Chrome Ore on a certain portion of the Farm Annandale 407 KQ. The project trigger Listing Notice 1 (Government Notice 327, in Government Gazette 40772 of April 2017) and is therefore subject to a Basic Assessment process. Interested and Affected Parties (I&APs) are invited to register, request information, or submit written comments as part of the Public Participation Process. Date of Notice: 23 October 2026. Please note: This notice serves to initiate the public participation process. The Draft Basic Assessment Report (DBAR) and Environmental Management Programme (EMPr) will be made available for a separate, formal 30-day public review and comment period at a later stage of the application process. All registered I&APs will be notified of the commencement dates of the review period.
