Deliberate fire causes accident

Northam – The fire that caused the thick cloud of smoke covering the Brits road on Thursday 19 September, was deliberately started by someone who illegally dumped their refuse, an eyewitness told Platinum Bushvelder.

Strong winds gusted the wall of smoke over the road and obstructed the view of passing motorists.  This consequently caused and accident between a Volvo truck and a Toyota bakkie. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported.
