Three lions and a tiger killed

Vaalwater – At about 02h00 on Friday 25 May, poachers killed three lions and a tiger, in their enclosures, by throwing meat laced with a poisonous substance at them.

The incident happened in the Vaalwater area outside Lephalale. 
The owner of the farm woke up from his dogs barking.

He went outside to investigate. He discovered that some of the cages were open and came across one of his lions, battling to breathe. Two other lions and one of his tigers were already dead.
The Police discovered the poisoned meat. Investigations continue
