No occasion. Just you.

PAID ADVERTORIAL

Platinum Bushvelder newspaper | Thabazimbi – Wednesday, 23 September 2026, began like any other day for Onkarabetse Mokoena. There was no birthday, anniversary or special occasion on the calendar. But her fiancé, Jeffrey Rannyadi, had decided that the woman he loves deserved a surprise anyway!

With the help of Boom Boom Bears Entertainment, Jeffrey arranged for dancing teddy bears to make an unexpected entrance. He was there too, carrying a large bouquet of flowers. What had been an ordinary Wednesday suddenly became a moment Onkarabetse will treasure forever.

“This was such a lovely surprise. I could not believe my eyes when I saw those dancing teddies. Thank you to my man!” she said.

Those who know the couple will know that Jeffrey enjoys finding ways to surprise his fiancée. This time, there was no particular reason behind it. He simply wanted to remind Onkarabetse how much she means to him. For Jeffrey, love is about more than flowers and memorable moments. “I think love is finding someone who inspires you to be a better person, while completely accepting you exactly as you are right now,” he said.

And while the dancing bears certainly caught everyone’s attention, Jeffrey believes love is often clearest in the moments no one else sees. “People talk about the grand gestures like what we are doing today, but to me, real love is in the quiet, daily moments. It’s making her coffee exactly the way she likes it, travelling places together, and just choosing each other over and over again.”

His surprise brought flowers, dancing and a delighted smile to one Wednesday afternoon. It also carried a lovely thought: you do not have to wait for a date on the calendar to celebrate someone you love. Sometimes, the person is reason enough.
