Cigarettes ruining my jackets! [Letter to the editor]

People who are in the habit of throwing cigarette butts out of their car windows make me angry!  
I enjoy riding my motorbike and on more than one occasion, I have been on the receiving end of this bad habit of smokers. You cannot imagine how many times cigarette butts have ruined my gear while I’m on my bike. It is dangerous to just throw out a burning cigarette butt – no matter where you are, as it can start a fire.  
I know we are living in a free country and people must be allowed to enjoy their liberties. But is it too much to ask smokers to stub out their cigarettes before flicking it?
