HAPPY AND BLESSED EASTER! 

Dear residents,
These are unique and challenging times. While we are feeling uncertain about what tomorrow may bring and how our lives might be affected in the future, it is during times like these that we are reminded of what is most important.

Since last year, 2020, Easter celebrations looked a lot different, and perhaps took on a new meaning as we are faced with spending more time at home under social distancing rules to help combat the spread of the coronavirus.

Easter is a religious time for many people in our community. It is wonderful to see many churches preparing for this important holiday by embracing new ways of worshiping. To adhere to social distancing guidelines, some churches have shifted services online in time for Easter.

I know that many of our retail, tourism, hospitality, and recreation businesses are hurting. We must support them to ensure that, when this crisis is over, people can continue to work, live, and thrive in our wonderful community.

Together we can each do our bit to protect and help each other.
I believe there’s also an opportunity here to rethink what our daily lives could be in the absence of going out and to appreciate what really matters, human life and family. Lastly, as we visit our loved ones and travel to our holiday destinations, let us continue to adhere to the rules of the road.
