Local research company conducting vaccine trials

Thabazimbi – The Limpopo Clinical Research Initiative is involved in COVID-19 vaccine trials on community members of Thabazimbi and surrounds. These trials are essential for the effective development of a vaccine against the COVID-19 pandemic and approved by both the South African Health Products Regulatory Authority and ethics committees. All their clinical research is conducted according to Good Clinical Practice and other international guidelines. A small community could make a big change and on Facebook they invited community members to participate in these vaccine trials to contribute to the future health of our nation. Businesstech reported that the trials received regulatory approval from the South African Health Products Regulatory Authority (SAHPRA) on 22 September 2020.
