Shoprite launches Xtra Savings rewards programme

SA – The new Shoprite Xtra Savings card will from Monday 12 October benefit customers with immediate cash savings. Aimed at 19.3 million shoppers across South Africa, it offers great value and relief to households.  

Shoprite group chief of strategy and innovation Neil Schreuder explained: “The success of Xtra Savings is its simplicity and transparency. No points and no levels, it’s all about straight-forward instant savings on things you need.” 

Shoprite Xtra Savings customers will receive instant discounts of up to 40% on everyday essentials. For example, buying two packs of two kilograms Sunlight washing powder is a saving of R70. Moreover, customers will enjoy added benefits such as free airtime when purchasing Pampers or savings on combo deals. Cards can be used at both Shoprite and Checkers branded stores although promotions and discounts may differ.
