ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

Thabazimbi – Various organisations and institutions gathered in Botha informal settlement near Thabazimbi on Friday 6 December to raise awareness against the abuse of women and children.

Members of the Thabazimbi Police, the Department of Social Development, Community Policing Forum (CPF), Community Service Forum (CSF), Youth Community Outreach Programme (YCOP) and fire fighters marched through the streets handing out flyers to encourage the community to speak up against abuse. 

“As a society, we must stand up against violence that affects our most vulnerable. If you or someone close to you appears to be living in fear or showing signs of abuse, you should speak up.

We can no longer keep quite while so many women and children are losing their lives due to gender-based violence,” a concerned community member told Platinum Bushvelder.
