Laerskool Thaba proud of DAMASA dancers

Thabazimbi – DAMASA dancers of Laerskool Thabazimbi competed in the SA Dance School Championships in Centurion.

This prestigious dance competition, held from 12 to 26 October, attracted over 3,000 entries
Laerskool Thabazimbi’s DAMASA dancers’ results: 

• Sermei Bornman - Hip Hop, silver (73%) and Contemporary high silver (77%).
• Sue-Anne Baard - Contemporary silver (70%).
• Natalie de Castro - Hip Hop high silver (77%).
• Kieran Soares - Hip Hop high silver (75%).

DAMASA’s Hip Hop group (William Niemand, Nelita Janse van Rensburg, Natalie de Castro, Kadin Soares and Kieran Soares) also performed their first ever group dance and achieved a high gold (85%). 

“Competing against Gauteng schools was tough, but we left with pride in our hearts knowing we did excellent for our second year competing,” said DAMASA coach Dajana Rijetkovic.
