Local restaurant robbed at gunpoint

Northam – In the early hours of Saturday morning, 28 September, Ivory Pot Restaurant was robbed at gunpoint. 

An unknown number of assailants entered the restaurant and demanded cash before opening fire. 
According to a member of Northam’s SAPS, one of the restaurant’s clients was fatally shot and five others wounded.

The suspects fled the scene with cash and cell phones.
No arrests have been made yet, and investigations continue.
