Beautiful-busy Mej Thabazimbi 2018

Thabazimbi – Onosi Shai was crowned as Mej Thabazimbi 2018 on 27 July 2018. During her reign, she was as busy as a bee with several charity events and local fundraisers; she is working hard to make a positive difference in her community. She offers a helping hand wherever she goes.

 
This girl is on fire when it comes to helping her community and would like to thank her sponsors and community for their contribution towards the Mej Thabazimbi 2018 final event: The Villa Toscana Guest House, Studio 3 Model Management and Casting Agents and the Shai family for all the crowns, sashes and support during the year.

“I would also like to wish every finalist all the best for the final crowning of Mej Thabazimbi 2019 and remember a true queen never loses, they either win or learn,” Onosi said in an interview with Platinum Bushvelder. 

The theme of this year’s Mej Thabazimbi is Out of Africa. Application forms are available at the entrance of the main sponsor, Thabazimbi Spar. 

The new Mej Thabazimbi 2019 will be crowned at the Thabazimbi Landbou Skou.

This beauty queen became involved and volunteered at several events that took place in and around her hometown:

 

• A 5km to 10km walk against women and child abuse which took place at Thaba Park.
• She joined the walk for Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA) at the Marakele National Park.
• Onosi donated clothes, toys and food to the kids in need at the Thabazimbi Community Organisation Centre situated in Regorogile. 
• She arranged for an arts and crafts day at Advanced College for all the third graders. 
• On World Kindness Day, Onosi handed parcels of food to the elderly.
• She built the youth’s confidence while raising funds for the Fight Against Breast Cancer when she hosted a local beauty pageant.
• Deo Gloria Primary School, in Regorogile, received much needed stationary.
• On World Hello Day she went to a local shopping centre to give everybody a warm greeting.
• She also helped clean the community’s streets.
• Onosi gave a bright and motivational speech at the Thabazimbi Traditional Dancing Event.
• She participated in netball and a 5km walk which was hosted by the Department of Sports, Arts and Culture.
• She visited Thabang Children’s Home and took them some delicious cake to celebrate Mandela’s birthday. 
• Onosi went to Koedoeskop Primary and Petra schools to raise planet awareness and spoke to the children about pollution to get them to take care of the environment.
