Miss Thaba finalist gives back to the  community

Thabazimbi – Yandiswa Lesenya is a 13-year old model from Studio III and was chosen as a finalist for Mej Thabazimbi on 10 May.

Doing charity work is part of the responsibilities of a Mej Thabazimbi finalist. So far, Yandiswa has gone the extra mile in launching the following projects:

 

• Work done at walk/run for the Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA) at the Marakele National Park in Thabazimbi.
• Handing out toys at Bethlehem Feeding Centre.
• Handing out gifts at the old age homes.
• Handed out clothes to orphans
• Treated teachers with Valentine’s Day treats.
• Arranged a crafts day for grade three learners.
• Visited Regorogile Day Care Centre to give out presents.

In an interview with Platinum Busvelder Yandiswa said:

“I still have a few projects planned, including a movie night at the Thabazimbi Royalty Baptist church on 15 June, a fundraising colour-run for a special needs school, reading to the elderly and treating them with foot massages, and visiting Ysterberg Primary School to give pupils a speech about why education is important.”

Yandiswa is also very passionate about women’s aid who helps women and children that are victims of domestic abuse.
