Fatality at Zondereinde

Northam – On Saturday, 14 August, a fatality was reported on Northam Zondereinde. Tomas Jose Mugabe, a team leader at the mine sadly lost his life when a hopper derailed underground and caused a tramming accident.

Mugabe, a Mozambican citizen, was 59 years old. The management of Zondereinde and Northam Platinum extend their condolences to his family and loved ones. The accident is currently being investigated.
