DAMASA dazzles!
Thabazimbi — DAMASA (Dance and Music Academy of South Africa) once again proved why they’re one of Limpopo’s rising dance powerhouses at the 2025 Limpopo Amateur Dance Festival, held on 25–26 July 2025 at Kokanje Aftreeoord in Nylstroom. Competing against 14 other top dance schools, DAMASA dazzled with exceptional talent, walking away with trophies, top scores, and numerous special awards.
The standout of the festival? Kgolagano Oagile, who earned an astonishing 93.5% in Hip Hop — securing the title of Overall Best Junior Solo Dancer (15 and under).
Another major win came from DAMASA’s Elite Hip Hop Group, performing “Who Run It”. This powerhouse team scored an unmatched 97%, earning Overall Best Group Performance across all schools, with special awards for Costume, Choreography, and Performance.

- Elite Hip Hop Group – “Who Run It” (Cheré van Zyl, Suzaan Bekker, Miané Joubert, Kgolagano Oagile, Danèll Maree, Sermei Bornman, Leané Oosthuizen | smashed it with 97% – 1st Place overall, plus special recognition for Costume, Choreography, and Performance
