School uniforms are darned expensive! [letter to the editor] 

Thabazimbi – As the new school year commences in Thabazimbi, I am overwhelmed by the high costs of school uniforms. Despite my best efforts, I find myself unable to afford everything on the required list. This situation has left me no choice but to prioritise and purchase only the most essential items. What makes this issue worse, is the required purchase of uniforms from specific suppliers. This limits my options to more affordable alternatives. The impact is particularly felt by mothers with daughters, as I can personally attest. 

I am certain that my experience resonates with many other parents in our community. We all strive to provide the best for our children, but these high costs are a significant challenge.

Nevertheless, as we prepare to send our kids off to school, I remain hopeful. Despite the financial challenges, I believe we will find a way to manage. I wish all parents good luck with the school fees and the year ahead.
