TFR MEMBERS LEVEL UP!
Thabazimbi – The Thabazimbi Fire and Rescue (TFR) team has significantly enhanced their emergency response capabilities following an intensive training programme. Over two consecutive weekends, four teams successfully completed First Aid Level One and Two training from Friday 1 December to Sunday 3 December, and Grass and Wildfire training from Friday 8 December 8 to Sunday 10 December 2023.
This training has equipped TFR with 10 members now certified in First Aid Level One and Two, and 14 members now adept in Grass and Wildfire management. These skills are crucial for efficient and effective emergency response in the Thabazimbi region, known for its challenging terrains and wildfire risks.
TFR Director Pierre Loots expressed gratitude for the community’s unwavering support. He extended special thanks to Johan Visser of Nelko Training for his expert guidance in First Aid training and Henry Ford from Firescape (Pty) Ltd for his invaluable contribution to the firefighting training. This advancement in training marks a significant step in TFR’s commitment to safeguarding the community with enhanced preparedness and professional competence in emergency situations.
