Quest for justice continues…

Thabazimbi – The trial involving the three suspects, a man and two women, who are facing allegations of child sexual assault, child neglect, and assault with the intent to cause serious bodily harm, has once more been postponed until Thursday 5 October 2023. This follows their appearance before the Thabazimbi Regional Court on Tuesday 19 September. Initially apprehended on 26 January 2023, the man and the two women were taken into custody when it was revealed that a child had been subjected to sexual assault, and two children had been brutally attacked using a cricket bat. On 8 February, the two women were granted bail of R1,000 each, while the man was released on bail of R2,000 for the initial charges. However, he remained incarcerated after an additional charge of sexual assault was levied against him. On 13 March 2023, he was granted release on bail of R2,000 for the first charge and R500 for the second charge.
