Crossing the try line with flying colours

Northam – Northam Rhinos’ first, second and third teams battled it out against the Tuine Grizzlies Rugby Club on Saturday 22 July 2023 at the Rhinos’ home grounds, as part of Carlton Cup League. The Rhinos’ first team emerged victorious with a scoreline of 36-20, solidifying their top position on the league’s log. The second team showed exceptional performance, dominating the match with a resounding 39-8 win, earning them a well-deserved third-place ranking. Meanwhile, the third team displayed their mettle, claiming a hard-fought 12-6 victory, positioning themselves at an impressive second place on the log. On the same weekend, the Northam Rhinos’ fourth team played in the reserve league of the Blue Bulls, against the Brits Rugby Club and won with a staggering score of 50-5. Northam Rhinos Rugby Club chairman Flip de Kock expressed his confidence in the teams’ potential as they approach the end of both leagues.

This Saturday, 29 July 2023, the Northam Rhinos’ first, second and third teams will lock horns with the Pretoria Rugby Club in Pretoria.
