Thabazimbi – Five-year-old Laerskool Thabazimbi learner JC Cronje had the experience of a lifetime when he hovered over Thabazimbi in a helicopter on Thursday 16 February 2023.

JC was the lucky winner of Laerskool Thabazimbi’s Valentine’s draw which took place on Wednesday 8 February.

With the winning prize—a helicopter ride for two—in his pocket, the Grade R learner decided that his mom, Natasha Cronje, would be his wingman in the sky.

The take-off was a bit nerve-wracking for JC, but as soon as the helicopter was airborne, he started having fun. The world that gradually grew smaller beneath him and the unique views of Thabazimbi would forever be etched in his memory.
