[Letter to the editor]

Thabazimbi – I have a 12-year-old daughter who is very passionate about the environment. After watching a documentary, this little eco-warrior became concerned about global warming and decided to write a letter to President Cyril Ramaphosa.

With so much to sort out, I doubt that our President would have the time, so I decided to share her letter with Platinum Bushvelder’s readers. I hope that this will inspire readers to realise that what we do to the environment today, will be the legacy that we leave for the next generation…

Dear Mr President, I would like to talk about global warming. You see, I watched this documentary of a man that told us about global warming, and he showed us pictures of it. So I thought you can maybe tell South Africans not to litter so much, because the man also said that 50 years from now, you won’t be able to breath within 50 meters from the ground.

Mr. President, nobody is that tall. 

We want to protect our planet earth and our beautiful South Africa from global warming. People look up to you, please do something.
