Still off the beaten track

Northam – More than a year ago, a train derailed between Amandelbult and Thabazimbi on Tuesday 27 July 2021. 

Platinum Bushvelder reported that emergency services rushed to the scene where they found the cargo carriers scattered along the track.

I was traveling along that road on 20 January 2023, and nothing has changed since the 2021 incident. The cargo carriers are still scattered along the track, and the area looks exactly the same as the photo that was featured in the newspaper—except the grass might be a bit greener.

Why is nobody doing anything about it, or is this just now part of the ‘majestic bushveld landscape’?
