Arrows, Royal AM bang in the goals 

SA – There are no DStv Premier League matches this coming weekend but there is no denying that soccer fans have a lot to look forward to.

Although the performance of Mamelodi Sundowns is still a major talking point among soccer fans (they are still at the lead on the log standings), Royal AM and Golden Arrows have certainly punched above their weight and thoroughly deserve the fourth and fifth positions they are occupying respectively on the current log standings. 

Take their goalscoring record so far, for example. Both teams already have 10 goals to their names after just eight matches. This is just five goals less than Sundowns and – more significantly – a better return than both Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs at this stage. 

The performance of Royal AM and Arrows has not only kept their title hopes alive, but it also shows that the days when only three clubs dominated the league are now long gone. 

While fans of these two clubs are certainly happy with the performance of their players, the coaches are likely to be worried with their defence. Royal AM have let in nine goals so far while Golden Arrows have conceded eight.
