The Van Loggerenberg family needs your help

Thabazimbi – Monty and Ria van Loggerenberg reside in Thabazimbi with their two daughters, Chanelle and Roxanne, who were both diagnosed with cerebral palsy. Chanelle is 29 years old and Roxanne is 34 – but they entirely rely on their family.

Cerebral palsy is a condition that affects movement, posture and coordination. If a person has cerebral palsy it means that part of their brain is either not working properly or has not developed normally. Because of their diagnoses, the medical costs for their medication and basic needs is exceptionally high.

Monty was retrenched recently and now they do not have a medical aid. He has been out searching for work, but in these difficult times finding work is not easy.

“My biggest wish is for Monty to find work so that we have a steady income in order to provide for our children,” Ria said in an interview with Platinum Bushvelder. The exuberant costs of taking care of Chanelle and Roxanne has depleted their savings. In the meantime, Ria started making preserves and selling them door to door in Thabazimbi just to get by.
