Cherry picker improves TLM’s service delivery

Thabazimbi – Thabazimbi Local Municipality (TLM) is now better equipped to address service delivery concerns more efficiently after receiving a cherry picker from Pretoria Portland Cement (PPC) Dwaalboom.

The vehicle, unveiled on Friday 7 August, has made it possible for municipal personnel to repair streetlights and attend to other electrical problems at a faster pace.

TLM mayor councillor John Michael Fisher, speaker Thane Hearne, chairperson of the Infrastructure, Planning and Economic Development portfolio Daniel Mampeule, acting municipal manager Jacobus van der Merwe as well as officials from the electrical services department were present during the official handover of the vehicle.

Expressing his gratitude to PPC Dwaalboom, the mayor said: “This cherry picker will be utilised for repairing and replacing malfunctioning streetlights without delays.”

Anita Greyling from PPC Dwaalboom said their company will always be willing to assist TLM whenever they can. “On behalf of PPC, we trust you will keep safe and we are grateful for the relationships we uphold with our stakeholders.”
