The decline in newspaper circulation continued in the last quarter of the Audit Bureau of Circulation of South Africa's results for 2019, with Q4 showing a decline of 4.7% on the previous quarter and 9.1% on the prior year.

Burnt remains of man discovered in ditch

Bela-Bela – A manhunt was launched for the killers of a man whose remains were found dumped in a ditch near Bela-Bela. Police have gathered that the victim was murdered before his body was burned.
“The decomposing remains were discovered by a herdsman on Sunday 10 January along the R101 road next to the railway crossing – already in a state of decomposition,” said police spokesperson lieutenant colonel Mamphaswa Seabi.
