Police seizes drugs worth R1 Million

Polokwane – The relentless efforts by members of the South African Police Service in Limpopo to rid the province of drugs has paid off, following the arrest of a 40-year-old man at his hideout in Polokwane on Friday 8 January. Members of the Limpopo Highway Patrol and the Tracing Team investigated after receiving a tip-off. According to police spokesperson lieutenant colonel Mamphaswa Seabi, the police swooped in on the premises and discovered large quantities of nyaope, crystal meth and drug manufacturing chemicals worth more than R1 million. Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect is possibly the kingpin who has been distributing drugs to local dealers who are selling it on the streets. The suspect will soon appear before the Polokwane magistrates’ court.

Manhunt for escaped prisoner
