Rustenburg – A fun run to raise funds for Jaco Fourie (20), who suffered devastating injuries in a car accident in March this year, will be held on 15 September at the Impala Rugby Club.

The young God-fearing student-teacher, with a zest for life, needs to undergo a hip replacement, rehabilitation and physiotherapy as well as psychological therapy, following the accident.

The cost for a deposit to enable him access to treatment for just one month is R165 600.00. The heavy toll of his expenses has already exhausted his father’s medical aid.

Good Samaritans are invited to take part, which, besides the fun run has food stalls and jumping castles to entertain young and old.

Jaco’s friend, Elisma, who was also involved in the accident, said: “Jaco’s situation is not getting any better. He lacks rehabilitation and equipment support.”

The fun run would consist of a two and four km route, and the registration fee is R20 and R40 respectively.

For more information contact Elisma on 066 342 5622 or Anne on 066 340 7904.
