Smashblock Youth Kicks Out Substance Abuse!
Smashblock – Over 150 boys aged 12–20 laced up their boots for more than just glory on Saturday, 21 June 2025. The inaugural Smashbalock Youth Day Soccer Tournament, organised by Cllr Zama Ndlovu, turned the soccer pitch into a powerful stand against drug and alcohol abuse.
With teams from across the community, the event combined sport with purpose. Organisations like LoveLife, SUDI, and SAPS Northam delivered substance abuse and mental wellness talks. Healthy lunch packs and water were shared, and trophies handed out — giving players dignity and recognition.
“This is just the beginning,” said Ndlovu. “Together, we can build a future of hope and purpose for Smashblock’s youth.”
