Thabazimbi – It is hard to believe that it is already time to say merry Christmas, happy holidays and a happy new year!

What a busy year we have had here in our Thabazimbi Local Municipality district. This past year has been a year of many challenges and many achievements. Our community has drawn together and stood as one whenever called upon to do so. I take this opportunity to thank the citizens of Thabazimbi for their support and cooperation during the year.

Your response to our call to pay for services has been overwhelming and we thank you heartily for this. Together, we can make Thabazimbi and its local areas the best places to live in. We look forward to providing improved quality of services to you.

May I ask you all to remember your neighbours at this time of the year, especially the elderly and those who live alone. Let this festive season be characterized by the generosity, love and kindness to those who are less fortunate, and let’s make sure that we continue to protect ourselves and our loved ones against HIV/AIDS and take care of those affected and infected. My very best wishes go to those who are sick at home or in hospital this Christmas and I wish you a speedy recovery.

I wish to express words of appreciation to all our residents for the high level of mutual respect and professionalism they have displayed when engaging our municipality in all aspects. The cooperation displayed by all stakeholders in ensuring that the lives of our citizen become better at all times is also appreciated by the municipality.
To our valued employees, most of who will be working throughout the festive season to ensure the safety and enjoyment of our residents and visitors, you are an asset to the people of Thabazimbi Local Municipality.

I call on those who will be travelling, to ensure that they travel safely. Be security conscious and exercise caution! Don’t drink and drive, don’t text while driving and stop to rest when you are tired.

We wish you all a merry Christmas and a prosperous 2018!
