Thaba bikers take a stand
Thabazimbi – Thousands of bikers gathered at the Union Buildings in Pretoria on Saturday 29 August to protest against farm murders. Local bikers led by Frik Erasmus also attended the peaceful protests.
Community members made white crosses with the names of all the farmers who had been murdered in and around our area which were placed at the entrance of the buildings.
Farmers are fed up with living in fear and protesters demanded improved police security and better prosecution rates for crimes relating to farm attacks. According to police statistics, 49 murders on farms and smallholdings were committed during the 2019/2020 financial year.
